In this work, we have shown that salicylic, indole-3-acetic, gibberellic and abscisic acids in subinhibitory concentrations or concentrations that have low inhibiting effect on the bacteria growth, stimulate the biofilm formation by P. aeruginosa PAO1 and A. tumefaciens C58. At higher concentrations, these substances suppress the process.

Key words:  Agrobacterium tumefaciens,  biofilms,  plant hormones,  Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
