Pulps derived from Miscanthus by the nitric-acid or combined hydrolysis have been enzymatically hydrolyzed in acetate buffer under laboratory conditions. The process was primarily scaled up and run in an 11-l fermenter in an aqueous medium. The composition of a multi-enzyme complex comprising BrewZyme BGX, CelloLux-A, and Rapidase CR that provided an effective hydrolysis of the pulps was established and the helpfulness of the simultaneously introduced preparations in an amount of 0,04 g/g of substrate was demonstrated. The dependency of the enzymatic hydrolysis efficiency on the process for Miscanthus pulp preparation was established. The RS concentration in the obtained hydrolysates achieved 70 g/l. The RS in the resultant hydrolysates were converted into ethanol using Saccharomyces сerevisiae Y-1693 strain (All-Russian Collection of Industrial Microorganisms, Moscow). The hydrolysates’ goodness was shown and the economic coefficient of fermentation equal to 0,406 (for the nitric-acid) and 0,443 (for the combined method of pulps preparation), was calculated. The chemical composition of the bioethanol test specimens was examined that provides for a possibility of its further improvement by rectification.
