Based on the reported and author’s own data, it has been demonstrated in this review that using the technique of pulse-flow cytometry, a possibility of the further improvement of the methods of gene and immunodiagnostics that have widely been used at present to detection, identification and characteristics of pathogenic microorganisms occurs. In particular, the methods of PCR, fluorescent antibodies, fluorescent DNA hybridization in situ and DNA fingerprinting are concerned.
