In this work, we have screened factors potentially affecting the level of productivity and sialylation profile of EPO in СHO-Epo-2 industrial line (amino acids, vitamins, saccharides, and others). An impulse application of sodium butyrate, an inhibitor of histone deacetylase, was shown to induce the largest increase (more than by 1,5 times) in the target protein content with retaining of the optimal isoform sialylation profile in culture liquid.

Key words:  erythropoietin,  productivity,  roller cultivation,  sialylation profile,  sodium butyrate.
