On the basis of the developed technology for obtaining of virus-like particles from the killer yeast strain of Saccharomyces cerevisiae Y-448, including stages of extraction, concentration and chromatographic purification, the experimental series of preparations were produced and their properties were investigated. Particle sizes were determined by the electron microscopy method. It was established that dsRNAs within the particle structure are characterized by a higher enzyme resistance as compared to free dsRNA. In in vivo experiments, it was shown that the VLP preparations enhance the phagocytic activity of macrophages and interferon level in mouse serum, and this effect was higher in VLP than in the preparation of comparison (Ridostin).

Key words:  capsid protein,  double-stranded RNA,  interferon induction,  phagocytosis,  RNAse,  virus-like particle.
