The influence of ultrasonic and enzymatic pretreatment of raw and active sludge with the biogas production during the anaerobic fermentation has been studied. The possibility of the intensification of the biogas generation by 1.5 and 1.3 times as a result of the ultrasonic or enzymatic treatment, respectively, was shown. A combination of the enzymatic treatment and preacidification at 50° C is recommended. A technological scheme for the anaerobic treatment of raw and active sludge of municipal wastewater in a high-effective UASB-reactor that permits to reduce the time for the treatment from 20—30 days to 1—2 days was developed.
